WATER HEATER–

þ Check and open temperature and pressure relief valves to confirm operation.

þ Check the water temperature to make sure of proper setting. 

þ Inspect exhaust pipe condition. 

þ Inspect water cut-off valve.

þ Inspect gas shut-off valve.

LAUNDRY ROOM–

þ Inspect automatic washer hoses and drain. 

þ Inspect dryer vent.

þ Inspect gas connection to dryer.

FAUCETS–

þ Inspect all faucets for leaks.

þ Tighten faucet handles.

þ Check for proper water flow from aerators and from showerheads.

DRAINS–

þ Check for leaks under cabinets and for slow flowing drains.

TOILETS–

þ Dye test for leaks, and check for loose toilet bowls, tanks and seats.

OUTSIDE—

þ Check all outside faucets for leaks.

þ Locate main water and gas shut-off. 

þ Check the water meter for any signs of leaks throughout the house and underground.
